Men's and women's Hockey

at Glen Eira Hockey Club (Established 2020)

We are a very social club and GEHC welcomes hockey players of all abilities and experience levels. The club has been set up to fill the gap in Glen Eira where there were no hockey clubs, by a group of friends just looking to play hockey, be social and come out of the COVID lockdown playing some hockey.

We have a minimum 3 teams entered in Hockey Victoria’s winter season.

Our Purpose

GEHC aims to positively engage and promote hockey of all standards. It will also incorporate ‘Mateship’ and ‘Fair Go’ reasoning among all members.

Mission

Glen Eira (Saints) Hockey Club provides a vehicle for Club members and their families to play the game of hockey and to socialise with fellow members and guests of the Club;
GEHC represents the best interests of its members both internally and externally to the Club;
GEHC promotes the game of hockey, fosters friendships within the team as well as other hockey clubs in Melbourne and overseas.

Vision

Providing an equal opportunity to all Members and prospective members of the Club to play hockey at an appropriate level.
Encouraging social interaction post COVID 19.
Fostering a spirit of ‘fair play’ among Members both on and off the field.
Promoting the sport of hockey equally among young and masters grade players.
Increasing the accessibility of hockey to local players in Glen Eira.

Aims

To run as many teams as are required to provide opportunities for all Members and prospective members to play hockey.
To maximise participation by Club Members.
To maintain a sustainable club
To uphold Club values at all times
To score more goals than the opposition
To maintain open communication on all hockey and social matters with GEHC Members and the General Committee (aka The Management)
